Usage data: We collect basic analytics about how you use the service, such as pages visited and features used. This helps us improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the My Church Calendar service
  • Generate your .ics calendar feed and subscribe page
  • Display subscriber counts on your dashboard
  • Send you important service updates (not marketing emails)
  • Improve the product based on usage patterns
  • Respond to support requests

3. What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties
  • We do not share your church's event data with other churches or organizations
  • We do not collect personal information about your congregation members who subscribe to your calendar
  • We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in
  • We do not use your data for advertising

4. Calendar Subscribers

When a member of your congregation subscribes to your church calendar, the subscription happens between their calendar app (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.) and our server. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information about subscribers. We only count the number of subscription requests to show you how many people have subscribed.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication and database hosting
  • Vercel: Website hosting
