Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of My Church Calendar ("the Service"), operated by My Church Calendar ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

My Church Calendar is a web-based tool that allows churches to create and manage event calendars. The Service generates .ics calendar feeds and subscribe pages that allow congregation members to sync church events to their personal calendar apps (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and others).

2. Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to act on behalf of the church you are registering.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service for any purpose other than managing church or religious organization events
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on the Service, including church profiles, events, and descriptions ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute Your Content as necessary to provide the Service — for example, including your events in the .ics feed and displaying them on your public subscribe page.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

5. Public Subscribe Pages

When you create a church calendar, we generate a public subscribe page and .ics feed for your church. These are accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for deciding who you share the link with. We are not responsible for how third parties use publicly accessible calendar data.

6. Pricing and Payment

The Service is currently free during our beta period. No credit card is required. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will provide reasonable notice before any charges apply. Churches that join during the beta period will receive a generous free tier.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with reasonable notice. You will never be charged without your explicit consent.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service is harmful to us or other users.

Upon termination, your church profile, events, and subscribe page will be deactivated. Subscribers will no longer receive updates from your calendar feed.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or missed events.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
